44. Rain & Depth Of Field Experiments

I just added storm ambiance sounds and rain droplets on the balcony.
DOF will not be activated in VR but it makes a quite interesting rendering.

God almighty this is gorgeous. I started following this since your first post and I’m so happy with how it’s turning out. Incredibly professional. More passionate and accurate than any studio work I could imagine. You really should be proud of what you’ve accomplished here.

Any more updates on when we can expect a Vive demo? I’d love to even beta test for you and let you know how performance is.

    Again, astounding work.

    Hi Dillon,
Sorry for late answer. I’m in contact with Warner Bros. to see how I can handle a distribution of this project without legal issue. An alpha build is already running quite well. I surely want to release something before Blade Runner 2049 is out.
Thank you very much for you interest in my work.

That’s very cool dude! Far too often fan projects get shut down by nervous lawyers not looking to allow precedent. Hopefully you guys can come up with an agreement where this does’t clash with any of their legal teams’ fears. It would be an absolute travesty if they tried to get this blocked. Even better if there’s a loose partnership — you’d have to be blind to not see the selfless passion put towards recreating this world with utter respect.

I’ve been obsessed with BR and it’s world since my much-belated first viewing in 2007. I’ve made and bought so many fan-made props it’s not even funny. Without any exaggeration, this is my favorite fan-made project everm bar-none. I flat out stopped building my Blade Runner VR game since yours would eclipse it with ease. I’m in awe dude. Again keep up the amazing work. So stoked.

This looks Fantastic! The DOF with the music really puts me into Blade Runner universe! I have my fingers and toes crossed that Warner Bros gives you the go ahead.

    Rain on the balcony, Awesome!

Just some ideas for Rachel, and inspiration. The work that’s in the link below is not mine.

And if you don’t already have it yet, something for your VIVE.

Thank you Jeremy. I’m working on 2 other projects for now… but I’m still discussing with HTC & Warner to find a way to distribute it without legal issue about copyrights.

Pretty spectacular if you were to ask me! I’m curious, is the project focused on staying as accurate to the film as possible or simply your own vision of what Rick Deckard’s apartment should be? I ask because it looks dissimilar in some ways to the apartment in the movie, but I can’t tell if that’s because the project is yet to be complete or if it’s just artistic license.

Thank you. I’m trying to stick to the movie as close as possible of course… but I also have to put an end to it, soon or later. I cannot say yet if I will push details further.

“Qoute” I will release it… very soon. Warner asked me to send them an alpha build in April. I’m still waiting for a feedback… but something tells me I’ll never get one because I made BR9732 for Vive and Oculus has copyrights agreement with Warner about BR.

Well you could release it on torrent like pirate bay or others as an option, and if Warner has a problem with that, you could just say that your computer was hacked, and your files were stolen, in your defense;)

After all, It would be a real shame for the world not to experience what you have created. Is it just sitting on your hard drive, I hope you have backups for goodness sake!

    Let’s calm down 🙂
I’ll try to find a way to release it with the agreement of WB.
